My general research interest are geographically distributed software development and collaborative software engineering. I'm currently working on three specific topics:

* Integrated Development Environments for Global Software Development: The goal of this project is to improve support for distributed  software development projects by devising mechanisms that utilize artifacts and data generated through out the development process to provide enhanced communication, coordination and awareness to all the roles involved in the project

* SW Architectures and Distributed Development Organizations: The goal of the project is to better understand how architectural design decisions impact the development work in a distributed context.

* Socio-Technical Congruence: The goal of the project is to the development and empirical evaluation of mechanisms to measure socio-technical congruence and assess its impact on technical work.
